Q&A Fracture Care

Are ER physicians allowed to bill for fracture care if they are setting a fracture and then sending to a orthopedic surgeon for follow-up?

That would be unusual and if they charge the full fracture care they should be obligated to doing 3 months of follow up care which is unlikely. Most ERs do a temp cast or strapping and have them go to specialist for fracture care.
